À l'occasion du Salon de la Photo 2018, qui se tiendra Porte de Versailles à Paris du 8 au 12 novembre 2018, Compétence Photo présentera sur son stand une grande exposition collective intitulée it's So Street, en partenariat avec Art Photo Lab, Fujifilm et Asus. Elle rassemblera les travaux de seize photographes sélectionnés suite à l'appel à auteur.
Merlin Meuris fait partie des seize photographes choisis par le jury. Sa série s'intitule Between Here and there.
Intention
"What is most exciting with street photography, is when the utterly unexpected happens, and you manage to be there at the right place at the right time, and push the shutter at the right moment. Most of the time it doesn't work out that way. This kind of photography is 99.9 % about failure", Alex Webb
